MICHELLE MALONE KICKS OUT THE JAMS WITH NEW DISC

THE CHEWIN’ GUM, KICKIN ASS TOUR STOPS IN LA ON MAY 12TH

April 7, 2009 (New York, NY) Michelle Malone is thrilled to announce the release of her new record “Debris” Released on March 31st this, her 10th disc was produced by Nick Didia (Bruce Springsteen). If you’re unfamiliar with Michelle, think early Bonnie Raitt meets The Rolling Stones ‘Exile on Main Street’. As well as being voted best blues guitarist on IAC.com, Malone’s last release Sugarfoot earned her critical acclaim on many "Best Of" lists including The Blues Critic Top 10 albums of the year, multiple nominations for traditional blues rock album and best female blues vocals.

Michelle has been living in Decatur Alabama for just about a year now. The area resonates so much with her musically that she tapped into her newly adopted home state’s pool of musical talent to put together band, in her words, “A four piece, just as God intended.”

THIS RECORDS A CLASSIC, THE JURY’S IN!

“A proper American cocktail that’s best drunk straight up.”

* Billboard

“Whether moanin’ at midnight and howlin’ at the delta moon, or serving up a steamy blend of Tom Pettesque Twang-pop and Creedence Clearwater choogle, Malone’s the sexiest, most swaggering-est gal rocker on the goddamn planet right now.”

* Blurt

“Malone’s riveting wail and sizzling slide guitar blend sass and defiance with an authoritative presence exuding a spunk all her own.”

* Performing Songwriter

“Malone bursts forth like she’s got something to prove. She’s mastered all the tools of the trade: hook-laden Songwriting, a no-nonsense voice with powerful range, tough and tender guitar, and a memorable presentation. She’s destined for greatness. A refreshing surprise of an album.”
