Rockin The Blues
On Two Wheels News
May Edition
***GUITAR STAR - "Bluesy, soulful and rocking is what Brad Wilson and his band is all about." - The San Jose Mercury News
Greetings Music Fans:
Welcome to the May edition of Rockin' The Blues On Two Wheels News! The excitement for the 2011 summer is building, and it all starts this weekend! Memorial Day weekend is a three day celebration of our soldiers who bravely gave their lives to defend America's freedom. It is an honor and a pleasure to join in on all the great events happening this weekend.
The band will be in Minden, Nevada, on Friday, May 27, performing at the GE Energy Family Concert Series. I am excited to be in the Silver State with friends and family. On Saturday, May 29, we will be close to home in concert at a huge event, "Sudz In The City" in Downtown Fresno. We will be onstage in centerfield at Chukchansi Baseball Stadium, joining in on all the fun! Then on Sunday, May 30, the band is Crusin' The Coast with a cool, happening festival in one of California's beloved historic towns, Arroyo Grande. The Strawberry Festival is an outstanding long running festival. We will be spending the afternoon Rockin' the Blues ob the coast and enjoying every minute of this
super family event!
If you live in central California, we will be having breakfast with you on Friday, June 3, as the band joins the cast of the #1 Fresno morning TV show. FOX-TV's "Great Day" will feature six of my songs live. Tune in and start the day with us and then go Bluesin' with us later on that night in Visalia. That's right, Friday, June 3, we are in downtown Visalia for Blues, Brews and BBQ! I am very excited to bring the band to Visalia for a night on Main street at Garden Plaza! Looking forward to seeing all our hometown friends there.
June will be a month of great weather and outdoor events! Let's roll! Southern California here we come, with a stop on Saturday, June 11th, at Shoreline Village in Long Beach. We will be performing right on the dock in the Marina in the afternoon surrounded by sail boats, the boardwalk shops, restaurants and Southern California sunshine!
We have a lot of friends in Bakersfield, so Friday and Saturday, June 17th and 18th, we will be enjoying two nights of shows at Eagle Mountain Casino above Porterville. Super casino with dinner and dancing!
Ok wine collectors, let's buy California wine! Spend some time with us on Friday, June 24, at the Pomar Junction Vineyard in Templeton. Enjoy visiting a vineyard and tasting excellent quality Central California wine!
We need to get to the California Sierra mountains! On Saturday, June 25th, at the gate of Sequoia National Park, the band is at the River View in Three Rivers. This famous inn along side the Kaweah River has great food and is tucked into an amazing forest location.
There is gold in those hills! On Wednesday, June 29th, we perform in Mountain Ranch at the Community Park stage. This very famous gold country location will be a wonderful evening in an awesome setting. Thank you Calavers Arts Council for your terrific work!
I want to say Thank You to the city of Exeter for inviting us play music at their Sequoia Foodie Fest. Promoter Dana Galante does a super job of bringing an outstanding family event to Tulare county!
There was a whole lot of Harley riders at Dennis Wright's Blues, Bikes & BBQ in May! Casey's in Madera hosted the event and brought the band in. We had a blast! Thank you!
The new songs are in the show and the recording sessions will give us a brand new collection of my songs on an album. The band is an all-star line up of pro's with Brian Beal, Larry Donawa, Scott Bolsta and Kirk Nelson. Make plans to join us on the road and say hello to the musicians near the stage.
In closing, I said good bye to my close friend of almost 18 years who passed away last week. Beebo, the cat, had always been there with me through it all. He will not be forgotten, just remembered.
Wishing everyone an outstanding Memorial Weekend filled with family, friends and fun!
See you further on up the road.....BW
