From Sundown Lounge No. 30 A hot topic among the podcast world is DRM, Digital Rights Management, something that might, or might not, become a big brick wall that will adversly affect this new medium. Now, Microsoft, Apple and Google are casting their plans into the mix, which includes an alternative, Open Source DRM. I have a wikipedia page with a basic definition, links to articles at wired.com, drmwatch.com, and the alternative, open source DRM, at authena.org. Next, let's just admit we've been had by the White House of Slytherin. They ignored obvious signs of an attack before 9/11, they backed Osama into a corner, then let him escape, they knew exactly what a Katrina-sized hurricane would do to New Orleans days ahead, and for political reasons they spiked the response, and now we learn we've all been spied on since 9/11 by a President who can do whatever the hell he wants, cause the Constitution is just a "goddam piece of paper." Well, I have a link to the US Constitution, so read it while it's in pre-redacted form. While the 4th amendment still has the phrase "Probable Cause" in it. A note posted to several newsgroups says that "music fans around the planet will receive a shocking surprise on their computers on American Independence Day, 4 July, but only if they have downloaded unauthorised songs from Napster, Gnutella or other file swapping applications on the internet." According to the message, a "new hybrid computer code" named MusicPanel has been surreptitiously buried inside MP3 files of 500 popular tunes and distributed over the past eight months among unsuspecting "song thieves" using the popular Napster and Gnutella file-exchange services. The hoax goes on to say "those who have downloaded any of the 500 most popular songs ... will find their illicit music unusable and their computers frozen due to the time release of this bomb". Piracy manifesto But experts point out that data files such as MP3s cannot execute by themselves and thus cannot have computer viruses embedded in them. Rob Rosenberger, who runs the virus myths and hoaxes website Vmyths.com, said MusicPanel was "obviously a hoax and not a very good one. But some people are falling for it". The note, which reads like a manifesto against music piracy, warns that "the only way to protect against its damaging payload is removal of the illicit songs from hard drives". The warning, which appears to have originated in Australia, says the virus was developed by disgruntled musicians, angry at the illicit trade in music over the internet. Italian court to decide whether Jesus ever existed. ROME (Reuters) - Forget the U.S. debate over intelligent design versus evolution. An Italian court is tackling Jesus -- and whether the Roman Catholic Church may be breaking the law by teaching that he existed 2,000 years ago. The case pits against each other two men in their 70s, who are from the same central Italian town and even went to the same seminary school in their teenage years. The defendant, Enrico Righi, went on to become a priest writing for the parish newspaper. The plaintiff, Luigi Cascioli, became a vocal atheist who, after years of legal wrangling, is set to get his day in court later this month. "I started this lawsuit because I wanted to deal the final blow against the Church, the bearer of obscurantism and regression," Cascioli told Reuters. Cascioli says Righi, and by extension the whole Church, broke two Italian laws. The first is "Abuso di Credulita Popolare" (Abuse of Popular Belief) meant to protect people against being swindled or conned. The second crime, he says, is "Sostituzione di Persona", or impersonation. "The Church constructed Christ upon the personality of John of Gamala," Cascioli claimed, referring to the 1st century Jew who fought against the Roman army. A court in Viterbo will hear from Righi, who has yet to be indicted, at a January 27 preliminary hearing meant to determine whether the case has enough merit to go forward. "In my book, The Fable of Christ, I present proof Jesus did not exist as a historic figure. He must now refute this by showing proof of Christ's existence," Cascioli said. Speaking to Reuters, Righi, 76, sounded frustrated by the case and baffled as to why Cascioli -- who, like him, came from the town of Bagnoregio -- singled him out in his crusade against the Church. "We're both from Bagnoregio, both of us. We were in seminary together. Then he took a different path and we didn't see each other anymore," Righi said. "Since I'm a priest, and I write in the parish newspaper, he is now suing me because I 'trick' the people." Righi claims there is plenty of evidence to support the existence of Jesus, including historical texts. He also claims that justice is on his side. The judge presiding over the hearing has tried, repeatedly, to dismiss the case -- prompting appeals from Cascioli. "Cascioli says he didn't exist. And I said that he did," he said. "The judge will to decide if Christ exists or not." Even Cascioli admits that the odds are against him, especially in Roman Catholic Italy. "It would take a miracle to win," he joked. Scientists say they may have discovered why some women who use birth control pills suffer long-term sexual dysfunction -- low levels of unbound testosterone. A study of 124 women with sexual problems lasting more than six months showed they had reduced levels of unbound testosterone, the BBC reported. Long-term exposure to the estrogens in the pill may lead to gene imprinting that results in over-production of the protein called sex hormone binding globulin, the researchers said. The protein binds testosterone, rendering it unavailable to the body. Researchers said the high level of the protein persisted in women who had stopped taking it. According to this non-allopathic medicine page at iimetro.com.au: "Its probably shocking to people who don't know, to know out the almost total control that the pharmaceutical industry has over the flow of medical information." $13,000 per doctor per year is spent to influence the medical treatment people get. Senate hearings conclude: "Medical education is determined by what the marketing department wants, not what the doctors need." For example - The neurophone hearing device that allows the profoundly deaf to hear; Rife - Rife microscope, treatment and cure of disease, pleomorphability of bacteria; Antione Priore - electromagnetic healing machines of startling effectiveness. She discovered this remedy through a patient in the hospital where she worked who had been cured of cancer. The patient had used an herbal remedy given her by an Ojibwa herbalist. So startling was the effectiveness of this simple herbal remedy, it could not be ignored, and the Canadian Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Parliament became involved. Friends, former patients, and grateful families petitioned Canadian officialdom for Rene Caisse's right to administer the remedy to anyone who asked for it without the threat of interference from authorities. Fifty-five thousand signatures were collected on the petition. In 1938, Essiac came within three votes of being legalised by the Ontario government as a remedy for terminal cancer patients." - Dr. Gary Glum, author of "Calling of An Angel". ![]() Magnetite is a black mineral form of iron oxide that crystallizes in the cubic or isometric system, namely all crystals which have their crystallographic axes of equal length at 90 degrees to each other. Some varieties, known as lodestone, are natural magnets; these were used as compasses in the ancient world. The discovery of a biogenic material (that is, one formed by a biological organism) with ferromagnetic properties and found to be magnetite was the first breakthrough toward an understanding as to why some animals have the ability to detect the earth’s magnetic field. Scientists are now asking the fundamental question: What is magnetite doing in the human brain? Neuromagnetic Signals as the Basis for States of Consciousness In what could turn out to be one of the most important discoveries in cognitive studies of our decade, it has been found that there are five million magnetite crystals per gram in the human brain. Interestingly, The meninges, (the membrane that envelops the brain), has twenty times that number. These ‘biomagnetite' crystals demonstrate two interesting features. The first is that their shapes do not occur in nature, suggesting that they were formed in the tissue, rather than being absorbed from outside. The other is that these crystals appear to be oriented so as to maximize their magnetic moment, which tends to give groups of these crystals the capacity to act as a system. The brain has also been found to emit very low intensity magnetic fields, a phenomenon that forms the basis of a whole diagnostic field, Magnetoencephalography... From Sundown Lounge No. 25

The Origin of The Devil The evil deity known as the Devil is not universal, but certain characteristics of his can be found in the gods of every religion. Some of these are iconographic similarities, others relate to the god's function within the mythos. To understand the emergence of the Devil as the personification of evil, it is necessary to consider the divine personages in world religions who prefigured him. In general, a demon may be defined as a malicious spirit who does harm to human beings. In this sense, demons have been recognized since the time of the ancient Sumerians and Babylonians. Most gods in so-called "primitive" religions are morally neutral manifestations of Ultimate Reality. In polytheistic systems, even the most powerful, "king" gods are subordinate to the single, impersonal divine principle. There is often little or no differentiation among the gods along the lines of good and evil; better, each divinity is capable of either good or bad, as the mood takes him. This moral ambivalence explains the existence of good and evil without resorting to a heavenly schism, in which each individual god takes a character of good or evil... From Sundown Lounge No. 24

Why don't we have a moonbase already? Look up at the full moon this weekend. A BBC story says we'll be living and working on the moon in 20 years, but did you ever suspect that we could have had a base there 20 years ago? I used to joke that we lost interest in the moon cause there weren't any natives there to work the land for us, but now I strongly suspect it's because of the samples the astronauts brought back. In a past show I mentioned Helium3, a real element that's rare on earth but plentiful up there, and can be processed into a revolutionary fuel source. And what energy industries would be affected by the fuel of the future? I also discovered that large deposits of ilmenite, which would provide a source for iron, titanium and oxygen, were located by NASA using the Hubble space telescope, so they know where to land and where to start, and groups like The Artemis Project are raring to go colonize. I personally feel that the top six multinational corporations together could put a company town on the moon, but then again, maybe they all read Robert Heinlein's "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress"... How to Build A Cloudbuster to Disperse Chemtrails and Improve the Weather By Don Croft Definition of a contrail: A contrail occurs when a plane travels at a high altitude (about 30,000 ft. or more) and compresses the air into a water vapor or ice crystals through jet engines or the wing tips pushing through the air. This trail disappears after anywhere from a few seconds to 15 minutes, as the water vapor evaporates. Definition of a chemtrail: The term "chemtrail" is a relatively new word, which appeared in the last few years along with the appearance of chemtrails. A chemtrail is very different from a contrail. At first a chemtrail might look a bit like a contrail. However, instead of disappearing like a contrail does, a chemtrail just keeps spreading out and forming a hazy cloud bank. These trails traverse the whole sky and stay for up to around five or even eight hours. They have been known to turn what was originally a clear blue sky into a grey haze. (Note: As of Nov 2001 there are already several dozen cloudbusters in seven countries, so if you see chemtrails that don't last anywhere near this long, there may already be a cloudbuster in the area).
Orgone Generators - Holy Handgrenades, Tower Busters, Chembusters, & Powerwands The combination of organic material (cured fiberglass resin, or soil, or wood, or cotton, etc.) and metal chips provides a matrix which has the capacity to attract and capture orgone energy as Wilhelm Reich's research demonstrated in the 1930's/40's and discussed in Reich's book, The Cancer Biopathy. Adding a crystal intensifies that process and allows you the opportunity to 'program' the crystal with your mind (and intentions) to direct that energy towards a specific task or goal. Gravity Drive Airplane The idea that an airplane can fly endlessly carrying heavy loads of passengers and cargo without burning any fuel, can stop and hover in place weightless at any time, and can takeoff and land vertically is a radical departure from accepted thought concerning aviation. This new reality that is made possible by the invention of Robert Hunt's astounding new hybrid aircraft is Hunt Aviation’s vision of the future of aviation.
