A pair of plantation slave ghosts are carrying out a mission of vengeance against the first-born sons of the Wainwright and LeChette Houses, the most prominent of the old plantation families in Wainwright County, Mississippi. The tightly kept secret is exposed by the latest victim in a letter to "The File Room," a new cable show that investigates and confirms supernatural phenomena. The show is supported by the recently exposed organization 'The Campus,' that has monitored and policed the supernatural world for over a century.
The show's producer, Xavier Slattery, descendant of the agency's founder, discovers evidence pointing to a renegade band within, helping keep the families' secret. Xavier is forced to reach out to old friend Henry Smith, a shell-shocked former TV reporter, to enlist his help for one last undercover assignment in the post-Katrina landscape of Wainwright County.
Dodging the local sherrif and the families was one thing, dealing with the unpredictable and deadly ghost Polly was another...
Banjo Strings is an epic and graphic tale of antebellum ghosts, ancient scandal, a once-secret supernatural spy agency, and a modern-day den of iniquity hiding amid the Red Maple and Magnolia trees...

Ok, Chapter 3 is up and running, and so far the Podshow stats say that about 30 people have sampled the book. Ch. 2 is still the most popular - they must like Betsy...
I'm currently working on Ch. 6.
I've been checking out other books on Podshow, and I really like Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff's "Number One With A Bullet." He's got great graphics and sound, and Tairy Woodard is doing one of the character voices.

Ok, Chapter 4 is up now, and according to the Podshow stats, almost 50 people have picked up at least two chapters - a total of over 150 individual downloads/streams. Cool!
I know, the vocal volume is lower than I expected, but I think I have that problem licked now; Sundown Lounge #82 has nice, clear vocals.
Chapter 5 is coming after the Super Bowl.

This chapter fills you in on the hit show "The File Room" and the newly-outed supernatural spy agency 'The Campus.'
At over 30 minutes, this episode is the longest I plan to produce.
Chapter 6 is scheduled for two weeks hence - Feb. 19th.

Ok, the latest chapter went up yesterday, introducing us to Xavier's friend, the disgraced TV reporter Lionel Perry, hiding under the alias 'Henry Smith' and currently in Vegas.

"Six Tokes Later" - Henry discovers the perfect woman, and is blackmailed by Xavier to take the assignment.
I'm attempting to make these updates weekly, but I ain't promising nothing...
Anyway, this chapter is very naughty, and not work safe.

Listened to Chapter 7 yesterday.
Larry, I think your attempt at a British accent for Xavier Slattery is hilarious. I can't keep a straight face. I guess my attempt at an American accent would be just as bad.
